Become a Freemason

Start Your Journey of Brotherhood, Integrity, and Personal Growth

Freemasonry is the world’s oldest and largest fraternal organization, uniting men of good character in a shared commitment to moral development, mutual respect, and service to others. In the Mid-Hudson District, we continue this proud tradition with Lodges across Greene, Ulster, Columbia, and Dutchess counties.

If you're curious, seeking deeper meaning, and ready to grow alongside like-minded men—Freemasonry may be the right path for you.

What Is Freemasonry?

Freemasonry is not a religion or a secret society. It is a brotherhood that encourages:

  • Moral and ethical growth

  • Charitable outreach and community service

  • Lifelong learning and reflection

  • Fraternal support and mentorship

  • Be a man of lawful age (18+)

  • Believe in a Supreme Being (regardless of specific faith)

  • Be of good moral character

  • Have a genuine interest in becoming part of something greater than yourself
